What is the Lore News New Year Post/Speech?

The Lore News New Year Post/Speech (try saying that 10 times fast), is basically our way of putting the achievements in the Lore Community to life, while also thanking everyone for our achievements, in our fight to make people better understand what is happening in the Lore Community.

Because most times, people’s problems with doing their SMPs, Projects, Series, and so on, are recognition, for their achievements and recognition for what they have spend so long on doing.

Lore News started as a side project to my content career, but it very quickly became the main project.

And I want to thank every single Lore SMP, Lore Streamer or just the people that watch Lore, without y'all, the Lore Community wouldn't have been the same.

2024 has been a great year for the Lore Community, and a lot of great things have come out this year, especially in the Lore Community.

I think I will always look back on 2024, as the year my dreams actually seemed to come true. Lore News grew to 700 followers on Twitter 2 days ago, (Dec. 30th), and we hosted the first Lore Awards in 2024.

I love telling myself that 2024 was great, but 2025 will be greater. Like, we might hit 1k followers on Twitter this year, which would be huge.

When I look back on the year that have passed, it really sticks out to me, how much have happened. SMPs like, Escaped SMP Part 1 have happened, Pathfinders SMP ended, Whimsical SMP came to be (I think), Florial SMP came to be, Project Draconis came to be, Holiday SMP started, Whittley Manor SMP was announced, Forsaken SMP grew even larger, Chorion SMP made their Twitter Acc, and WishCraft SMP launched!

It wouldn’t be a year in the Lore Community, without the jokes, and one of my favourite jokes this year, gotta be the SMP Marriages, between Florial SMP and Whimsical SMP, and between Wrong Train SMP and Us. #NORMALIZESMPMARRIAGE

I feel like it shows that even tho we are all very serious about our roleplaying, there is always space for the jokes.

We got some amazing SMPs and Creators winning awards and just being nominated in this year’s Lore Awards, and even tho it came a bit late, it was still amazing nonetheless.

I want to say…. Thank You, for everything. This year has been surreal for me. I have been a part of a bunch of funny SMPs, and Projects. And it doesn’t matter if that is spawning Sackman mobs around people on Holiday SMP, and scaring the members, or whatever it is.

The Lore Community will always have a special space in my heart, and I am not joking when I say that it is close to being my new family.<3
