Standards for Lore SMPs

Our standards for the Lore SMPs shown in LoreDeed, our weekly list of SMPs/projects with applications open in the community!

If you have read at least one of our LoreDeeds, or well, at least this part of it:

Part of all LoreDeeds

Then you will know that we take the standards of the SMPs on LoreDeed very seriously, and if you ever find an SMP that shouldn’t be on LoreDeed, then please reach out via a ticket in our public discord!

Now, if you want to make your own SMP, then we have a guide to making one, which also have some input from owners of lore SMPs! You can read it here!

With that said, here is our standards, they aren’t too harsh, so please just use common sense about your SMPs.

1. Your SMP should be an enjoyable place to be!

Everyone on the server, should feel like they are a part of the SMP, feel wanted, feel welcome, and so on. So please make sure everyone enjoys being there, it makes it more fun for everyone, and people that enjoy being there, tend to make better lore! (speaking from experience…)

2. No admin abusing!

Again, this one should make sense, admins shouldn’t abuse their power! This one is a bit hard to monitor, but again, if an SMP goes through and ends up in LoreDeed, then please reach out to us, with evidence, and then we will remove them from the LoreDeed!

3. Everyone should have a chance to be a part of the SMPs lore!

Very important one, everyone should have the chance to be a part of lore. I am once again speaking from experience here, because I have been on an SMP before, where all server-wide lore was about the owners Lore, which wasn’t ideal, and it made people not enjoy being there!

So please make sure people have a chance to develop their lore, and develop their lore during server-wide lore! It shouldn’t be that hard to do, but us here at Lore News stands for the members of Lore SMPs, and their enjoyment being there!

4. Not be involved in heavy drama

What I mean with heavy drama, is like, owners being bad people, i.e. being racist, homophobic, transphobic, etc. or be in any other type of heavy drama.

Small drama about how people experienced being in the SMP isn’t an automatic no-go to be in LoreDeed, but it will be looked into, and then we decide rather it’s bad enough or not. Also, side note, if the drama turns out to be not true, or doesn’t have enough evidence backing it, then we might also still put them in LoreDeed.

End of our standards

That was our 4 main standards when finding SMPs to put in LoreDeed. When it comes to events, series, and so on, it should still be an enjoyable place to participate in, and so on, of course!

I know the 4th criteria is a bit vague, but trust me, we look into every drama we can find surrounding SMPs, before deciding if they should be in LoreDeed or not, we want to make sure that you have an amazing stay, when your creating your next story!
